Christian Reconstruction Based on Conversion, NOT Coercion !!

Christian Reconstruction Based On Conversion, NOT Coercion !!

Hey, everyone!!

Over and Over and Over again we keep hearing it said that Christian Reconstruction means ramming Biblical Law down the throats of a recalcitrant populace, in spite of the fact that R. J. Rushdoony himself (the founder of Christian Reconstruction, and the one who coined the term) over and over and over again in his numerous articles and books made it crystal clear that Christian Reconstruction is based on people who are converted willingly and gladly EMBRACING God's Law, and thereby changing the society spontaneously. AND the Chalcedon Foundation, which Rushdoony established, both in their print publications (The Chalcedon Report and Faith For All Of Life) and in the emails sent out from their website (www.chalcedon.edu) keep repeating this and keep quoting statements from RJR about this. The latest example is the "Latest News & Information" email sent out on June 9, 2014, quoted below, which begins with what RJR says CR is based on:

The Heart of Reconstruction

R. J. Rushdoony

"... the regenerating power of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in and through us. Not revolution but regeneration, not coercion but conversion, is our way of changing the world and furthering the Kingdom of God. This is the heart of Christian reconstruction."

Sincerely,

Forrest
