In their research and teaching Christian theologians have shown that Jesus really performed the miracles ascribed to Him in the New Testament, and that these miracles are important in establishing the truth that Christ is God and Savior.  In the book under review Vern Poythress shows that these miracles of Christ also have typological significance by serving as symbolic signs of various facets of life in the Kingdom He inaugurated and which He will bring to consummation in the New Heavens & Earth.  Therefore these miracles are helpful in understanding the salvation God is working in us now.  The bulk of the text of the book is dedicated to showing us the soteriological significance of these miracles with each chapter dealing with a particular miracle.

As with all of books recently published by Vern Poythress this one is highly personal, easy to understand, and very useful.
